While stressing his desire not to escalate, the Israeli occupation army announced that the raids launched by its warplanes in southern Lebanon last night targeted streets and corridors leading to the areas from which shells are launched on the occupied territories.

The official Kan radio quoted a senior Israeli military source as saying that Israel is not interested in escalation, “but we will not accept the perpetuation of the equation they are trying to impose, and this represents a warning sign for them.”

For his part, Israeli Minister of Internal Security Omer Berlev said: “Hezbollah is in excellent control of the situation in Lebanon, specifically in the south, so it bears responsibility for the actions carried out by other organizations.”

In statements to Kan radio, Berlev warned Hezbollah that “the capabilities of the Israeli army are great, and it is not in its interest to change the rules of the game in our confrontation,” as he put it.

As for Ram Ben Brak, head of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, he pointed out that “an organization that operates independently” is responsible for the recent firing of the rockets. In an interview with the Israeli Army Radio, Ben Brak, who previously served as deputy chief of the Mossad, claimed that this organization is meant to be “a bully in order to get points, and I appreciate that this will not lead to a comprehensive confrontation, but no one can know what will happen.” To him, things are dynamic.”

Ben Brak stressed that “Israel cannot accept the firing of missiles at it from the north or south,” adding: “Lebanon is on the brink of civil war, and it is always better to attack us in order to obtain support and support.”

In addition, Tal Lafram, a military commentator in the newspaper “Maariv”, explained that the raids carried out in southern Lebanon yesterday did not target Hezbollah.

Lafram wrote on his Twitter account: “In the security establishment, they believe that Hezbollah has nothing to do with the missile launches, and it did not direct any organization to do so, and did not give the other organizations a green light to do so, so it was not targeted.”

He added: “The Israeli raids represented only warning messages, as the targets that were bombed have no value.”
