Dr. Anna Belousova, a Russian nutrition expert, a member of the National Association of Nutritionists, announced that it is not recommended to consume coffee, citrus juice, sweetened soda water and foods containing hot spices on an empty stomach.
In a television interview, the expert points out that caffeine suppresses the appetite, so it is better to have coffee after some time after eating breakfast.
She adds, you should skip hot spices and sauces in the morning, because they increase the risk of gastritis or ulcers.
She says that “of course, on the one hand, eating sandwiches with mustard or other hot spices revitalizes the body, but on the other hand it leads directly to gastritis.”
The expert points out that the most harmful substances for an empty stomach are sweetened soft drinks, stressing that drinking them constantly on an empty stomach causes digestive diseases such as gastritis and ulcers.
She adds, that citrus juices should be accompanied by a full breakfast, because on the contrary, they cause digestive disorders, stressing that these juices are natural and fresh.
