The Ministry of Labor has called on all employers in the private sector who have non-Jordanian workers in violation to legalize and reconcile their status as soon as possible, to take advantage of the Cabinet’s decision in this regard, which entered into force on 4/7/2021 and ends on 2/9/2021.
The ministry’s media spokesman, Muhammad Al-Zayoud, said in a press statement today, Monday, that the Minister of Labor directed the inspection teams, as of tomorrow, Tuesday, to carry out inspection tours of all sectors and economic activities in the capital and the governorates to control any non-Jordanian workers whose conditions have not been legalized, for a month has passed from the start date. implementation of that decision.
He pointed out that the Cabinet’s decision comes as a continuation of the government’s efforts in organizing the labor market and addressing the imbalances in the labor market.
Al-Zayoud stressed that the decision to legalize and reconcile the conditions of non-Jordanian workers was also aimed at reducing the financial burdens imposed on employers and motivating them to reconcile the conditions of violating workers who did not issue or renew their work permits during the previous period, especially in light of the Corona pandemic and the closure decisions of some sectors and activities Economic.
