The Super Cruise ship arrived in Aqaba today, Sunday, after it left Saudi Arabia for the first time on Friday, heading to Jordan and Egypt.

More than three football fields in length, the MSC Bellissima set out for the first time on a series of voyages from Jeddah to Aqaba and Safaga in Egypt.

The launch of the service on Friday comes two days after Saudi Arabia opened its first cruise ship terminal at Jeddah Port on the kingdom’s western coast.

Built in France, MSC Bellissima is 315 meters long and can seat 4,500 passengers, making it one of the largest cruise ships in the world.

First launched in 2019 and operated by Swiss company MSC Cruises, it will embark on 21 trips until October 30, according to AFP.

The giant ship has an array of amenities, including swimming pools, gyms, restaurants, cafes, and dance halls. Some of its itineraries include Luxor in Egypt and Petra in Jordan.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Sharhabeel Madi said earlier that the cruise ship that was supposed to arrive in Aqaba on July 23, 2021, but was delayed due to technical and operational reasons.
