The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs confirmed, this evening, Saturday, that it is following up, through the operations center and the Jordanian embassy in Washington, the circumstances of the killing of a Jordanian citizen in the US state of Texas, as he was shot in an armed robbery at the restaurant where he works at dawn today.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Daifallah Al-Fayez, said that the embassy is in contact with the family of the late to complete the procedures for preparing and transferring the body to the Kingdom as soon as possible, and the embassy is also in contact with the local authorities in Texas to follow up the investigation procedures into the incident.

On the other hand, the ministry said that the body of the Jordanian who died in Izmir, Turkey, arrived this evening to the Kingdom.

This woman was exposed to a severe health condition about a week ago, after which she was admitted to the hospital, and her death was announced on Friday afternoon. The Jordanian embassy in Ankara followed up the case with the hospital staff and her family from the first day until the completion of the procedures for preparing and transferring the body to the Kingdom.

The Ministry offered its sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the deceased.
