The European Medicines Agency confirmed that it had found a possible link between a very rare inflammation of the heart and the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, stressing that “the benefits of vaccines outweigh any risks,” according to “Reuters”.

The agency’s safety committee called for “the need to include myocarditis and pericarditis surrounding the heart as side effects of the two vaccines,” considering that “such cases usually occur within 14 days of the date of the vaccine.”

And she pointed out that “cases occur more after the second dose and among young men. This is in line with results reached by the United States last month.”

Symptoms of these conditions include shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and chest pain. The committee recommended that people with capillary leakage syndrome not be vaccinated with the “Johnson & Johnson” vaccine.
