Former US President Donald Trump filed mass complaints against Facebook, Twitter and Google groups and their leaders, whom he accused of practicing “unlawful and unconstitutional censorship.”
Trump stressed that “social media networks have given extraordinary power to giant technology groups,” explaining that he has filed collective complaints against these groups, including Facebook, Google and Twitter, and their presidents Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai and Jack Dorsey, respectively.
Trump said the heads of the three groups were “implementing illegal censorship.” He added, “There is no better evidence that giant tech groups are out of control than they banned the President of the United States while in office” on their platforms.
Trump was temporarily removed from the podium on January 7 when he was in office because he encouraged his supporters during the attack on the Capitol in Washington the day before, in an unprecedented decision.
Twitter also expelled him after the attack on the Capitol building during the ratification ceremony for his opponent, Joe Biden, on the sixth of January.
Before his ban, Donald Trump had about 89 million followers on Twitter, 35 million on Facebook, and 24 million on Instagram.
