A French graffiti artist, in cooperation with an American artist, presented a huge mural on a street in the French capital, Paris, which is striving to break out of its isolation imposed by the Corona virus closure measures in the past weeks.

Dongo, a 29-year-old painter who lives in California and a 44-year-old French graffiti artist da Cruz, has been working since mid-June on a huge mural 25 meters high in the 19th arrondissement, northeast of Paris, according to the website. Euro News.

The project is a symbol of the creative renaissance and reconnection between the two cultures after the closure, and da Cruz said it was difficult for him to see his projects halted due to the Corona pandemic.

He added that he uses his art as a bridge to communicate with people even if they speak different languages.

The US Embassy leads the French-American Mural Arts Program “Fama” in cooperation with the local “Our Work Living Colors” festival.

In the lower part of the mural, the artists chose to paint ornate waves, while the explosion of color was evident in the upper part and above the face area.

“We wanted to do something hopeful,” Dongo said. “After a tragic year for everyone, we thought it might help lift the spirits of the community and give them some hope with a meaningful image.”
