It has become remarkable that girls are more interested in working during their university studies, due to difficult living conditions that have been exacerbated more and more by the Corona pandemic.
Lian Haddad and Ansam Al-Nusour, in their interview with the Jordan News Online newspaper, summarize the stories of many girls who work during the study, in search of self-realization and directing energy and effort to what benefits them.

“The basic condition in working while studying is organizing time.”
This is how Lian Haddad, an architecture student at the German University, who has been working at the same time in a bank in the field of marketing for two years, said that the reason for her resorting to work during her studies is not only a financial goal, but rather to rely on herself, to build and develop her personality, and then achieve an income extra for her.
Lian pointed out that the job during the study added to her characters self-confidence and getting to know new people in the field, as well as knowing how to deal with prominent personalities and officials, noting in return that working and studying together is very stressful, especially for females.
As Lian stressed, whoever has a goal must have the ability to endurance, focus, and organize the time between study and work.

Experience and personal strength
As for the student Ansam Nsour, who used to work as a secretary in a car rental store, and at the same time a student in library and technology management at Al-Balqa Applied University, she confirmed that the job had a positive and negative impact, as she did not find time to do anything other than study and work, and she did not find time to do anything other than study and work. She does not have time to go out with her friends or with family.
And Ansam continued, “On a positive side, I gained experience, strength of character and responsibility. Working while studying is a great challenge for females, but it is a unique experience that girls go through for practical and social life.”

Refine the character and expand the perceptions
For her part, Mona Molla, a professor of economics at Yarmouk University, told Jordan News that the economic conditions are currently difficult for students and society as a whole, and jobs must be provided for young people in general, whether female or male, that are commensurate with their ages.
She added, “From my point of view, the student who works during her studies is a diligent and diligent student, and from the positive side of the work, it polishes her personality and broadens her perceptions.”

Also, is the university girl really worthy of bearing the burden of work? Is she forced? Has it fully developed and matured, or is it still in a growth stage? There is also an increase in the number of university girls working.

University girls seek to cover various basic life needs and requirements for their lifestyle, such as cell phone, clothes, university supplies, in addition to the costs of their trips and the like. With the rising prices of living and the requirements of life, it is necessary to find additional income that would allow them to somewhat improve their financial situation. On the other hand, after the existence of women’s rights and the development of women’s rights, they try to achieve achievement on a personal level, by relying on themselves and assuming responsibility, by taking on a new experience, namely work, to feel their importance as a productive and active individual in society.
