Today, Sunday morning, the Egyptian Prisons Authority executed 9 convicts in criminal cases, including a woman, in Cairo Appeal Prison.

The executions were carried out in the presence of the leaders of the Cairo Appeal Prison, a member of the Public Prosecution Office, a forensic doctor, and a sheikh.

And the Egyptian newspaper “Al-Watan” reported, quoting sources, that “the executioner of the death sentences was convicted in cases of murder and theft,” noting that “after the execution of the death sentences, burial permits were extracted for them from the Al-Darb Al-Ahmar Health Office, where the Cairo Appeal Prison belongs, Al-Darb Al-Ahmar Health Office.

The sources revealed to “Al-Watan” that “the families of the person who executed them were notified by the prisons that if any family refused to receive their body, the state would bury it at its expense.”
