On Saturday, the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Muhammad Abu Qadis, announced the return to face-to-face studies in all schools and universities in the next academic year.

The minister said that the next school year for schools will start on September 12, while the educational loss compensation program for all students will start on August 15.

The minister added: “In the past period, we faced challenges and problems regarding educational loss, psychological and social effects for students, and high dropout rates, and therefore we must return to face-to-face education… and we carried out a vaccination campaign for all educational cadres, whether at the level of universities and schools….”

He pointed out that there is a protocol that will be implemented during the next year, adding, “We will return to face-to-face education as we were in the past… We have started preparing schools with furniture, infrastructure, computers and maintenance… We have started distributing textbooks to schools and we will return to studying at the beginning of the next academic year.”
