The Public Health and Safety Committee in Umm Al-Jimal Municipality, in cooperation and coordination with the Health Directorate and the Food and Drug Corporation branch, closed a factory for the production of sweets and sweets.

The head of the Umm Al-Jamal Municipality Committee, Husam Al-Nawaisah, said on Sunday that the closure of the factory came in the wake of a physical examination of it, as it was found that it did not comply with the conditions of public health and safety, in addition to its employment of illegal workers.

Al-Nawaisah indicated that it was decided to close the factory until its conditions are corrected and to verify this on the ground, stressing that the health and safety of the food of the Jordanian citizen is the most important priority of the work of the Public Health and Safety Committee. (Petra)
