The President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Muhammad Al-Widyan, received today, Sunday, His Excellency Dr. Nizar Haddad, Director General of the National Center for Agricultural Research, and his accompanying delegation, to sign a memorandum of cooperation and understanding in their quest to develop frameworks for joint cooperation in scientific research and raise the academic level of human cadres through the exchange of scientific and practical experiences and the establishment of Joint training programs between the two parties.

On this occasion, the President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Muhammad Al-Widyan, indicated that this memorandum will enable the center’s researchers and their children to obtain an encouraging discount on the tuition fees for the bachelor’s and master’s programs, in addition to a priority in accepting students sent from the National Center for Agricultural Research for the purposes of graduate studies, and to involve researchers In supervising postgraduate students and in the scientific theses discussion committees.
In terms of training, rehabilitation and consultations between valleys, there will be training for students of scientific applications materials at the university in the facilities and stations of the National Center for Agricultural Research, and students’ use of materials and laboratories in the center.
Al-Widyan added that this agreement will enable the researchers of the National Center to obtain a grant of 20% on all special laboratory analyzes and 50% on laboratory analyzes related to scientific research and projects emanating from the memorandum, which will positively reflect on the development of scientific research.
In turn, Dr. Nizar Haddad, Director General of the National Center for Agricultural Research, highlighted the importance of this memorandum of understanding by extending bridges of cooperation and networking with the leading national academic institutions in the scientific fields to develop and qualify human cadres and create scientific outlets to increase creativity and innovation and enhance research and scientific achievements through empowering cadres and transferring modern technology. And exchange of experiences between researchers and academics.
Haddad stressed his pride in the modern academic institutions that provide the nation with science and knowledge by empowering students and creating a conscious, educated generation at the hands of an academic faculty with a high level of science and culture, stressing the provision of all kinds of support to these institutions, including training, rehabilitation, and establishing research projects with faculty members and researchers. In addition to strengthening the Amman Arab University farm by studying the establishment of an advanced agricultural training center on the use of modern agricultural methods, which targets the local community surrounding the university, and establishing scientific research points on the university farm related to sampling, providing laboratory services and research studies, and assisting in the reclamation and rehabilitation of the university farm and providing consultations Technical and cooperation in the provision of agricultural seedlings and supervision of rehabilitation and development.
