– Mix all the ingredients together, and knead it well until it sticks well.
Leave it in the fridge for half an hour.
How to make the Alexandrian Hawawshi dough:
Mix all the dry ingredients of spices and flour together, then add a cup of yogurt and one cup of water.
Mix the ingredients for the dough well, then add the other cup of water, but not all at once, as needed by the flour.
After mixing the dough well, leave it for two hours to ferment, then divide it into medium-sized balls.
How to make Alexandrian Hawawshi
Cover the balls and leave them for another 10 minutes, then start rolling them out with the help of some drops of oil when rolling out the dough.
– Stuff the dough with minced meat, and make some holes in the dough to ensure that it remains closed when it is settled in the oven.
– Grease the hawawshi with oil and put the nigella or sesame seeds as desired.
– If you want to cook the hawawshi loaf in a pizza-like way, you can put cheddar or mozzarella cheese on top.
Put the hawawshi in the oven at 220 degrees.
