The White House: 20 million doses of the Corona vaccine for Jordan and other countries

Today, Monday, the White House announced a regulation for the distribution of 55 million doses of a protective vaccine against the Corona virus, out of the 80 million doses that the United States pledged to donate outside the country.

Jordan will benefit from this quota out of about 20 million doses allocated to Jordan and other countries as well.

The White House announced the provision of nearly 6 million doses to neighboring countries and recipient partners, including Jordan, Mexico, Canada, the Republic of Korea, the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, Ukraine, Kosovo, Haiti, Georgia, Egypt, Iraq and Yemen, as well as to United Nations frontline workers.

Then the White House returned and announced that Jordan and other countries would benefit from about 14 million other doses, saying, “Nearly 14 million vaccine doses will be shared with regional priorities and other recipients, such as: Colombia, Argentina, Haiti and other Caribbean countries, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines and Vietnam Indonesia, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cape Verde, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Tunisia, Oman, occupied West Bank, Gaza Strip, Ukraine, Kosovo, Georgia, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

US President Joe Biden has pledged to allocate 80 million doses by the end of June, 75% of which will be shared by the United States through the Kovacs facility.
