The Bushehr nuclear power plant in southern Iran was temporarily closed due to a “technical failure,” the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization announced Sunday night.

“Due to a technical malfunction in the Bushehr plant (…) work was temporarily suspended and it was disconnected from the national electricity grid,” the organization said in a statement, without specifying the nature of the problem at the plant.
