Today, Wednesday, the Football Association decided to appoint Iraqi coach Adnan Hamad as technical director of the first national team, to succeed Belgian coach Vital Borkelmanns, whose resignation was accepted.
And the Football Association issued an official statement in which it said: Based on the modest performance witnessed by the participation of the first national team in the joint qualifiers and results that did not live up to expectations, the Executive Board of the Football Association met today, Wednesday, headed by His Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, and decided to accept the resignation of the coach of the team The first national team, Vital Borkelmanns and his assistant Stefan Vanderheiden, and the appointment of coach Adnan Hamad, as technical director of the first national team, to lead the next stage, starting with the national team’s match against South Sudan in Doha on the 21st of this month, as part of the qualifiers for the 2021 Arab Cup.
Previously, Adnan Hamad had supervised the training of the national team for 4 years.
