The Kuwaiti Football Association decided to exempt the Spanish coach Andres Carrasco of the Kuwait national team from the task of training the “Blue” after failing to qualify for the World Cup final qualifiers, and the approaching farewell to the Asian Cup qualifiers.

Kuwait’s next match against Chinese Taipei will be the last for the Spanish coach, with his departure immediately after the match.

The Kuwaiti national team will play against China Taipei, next Tuesday, at the end of Group B competitions in the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the Asian Cup in China 2023, which is an achievement for Kuwait, after the team lost its hopes of qualification.

The Kuwaiti team was eliminated from the qualifiers, after reaching point No. 11, 3 points ahead of Jordan, and 10 points from Australia, the leader.

In the same context, press reports revealed that a national coach is approaching the leadership of the Kuwait national team during the coming period.

Those reports indicated that a national coach will lead the Kuwait national team in the Bahrain match with the Arab Cup Supplement, which will be held in Doha. (Agencies)
